We now have committee chairs for a number of our committees. The committees now need volunteers to help pull off their ideas. Below is a list of committe chairs and those committees still needing a chair. Please consider volunteering your time to ensure the success of our program and that of your child. Statistics prove if your involved in your childs school, they excel more than if you do not become involved.

Sept. 19, 2009-Testing is over!!!
Thank you parents for getting your children to school on time. Thank you students for giving your best during the testing period. I am certain you all did well and Barber will see the wonderful results of your efforts.
Testing for 7th graders Sept 09-Sept 18 (No visitors 9am-11am)
Clinic News: Please remember to keep hands sanitized as this is the number one way to prevent infection. Do you best not to touch your hands to your eyes, nose or mouth. Donations of tissues, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes are always welcome.
Magnet Schools- Please email our Professional School Counselor: Kay Clark for more information on how to choose a Magnet school and how to apply. Her email is kay.clark@cobbk12.org for further details. This is for 8th graders.

We will once again have the Abstinence Program at Barber. There will be lots of valueable information for both students and parents alike. The date of Sept 15, will be held at Barber Middle School. The Sept. 17th date will be held in our local community. We are trying to decide between The Roberts School and Wingate Apartments. If you have a particular interest in one of these locations please email us. We value your opinion and we want to make this easy for the parents as we realize jobs can make it hard to get back to the school. We are here for our students and thanks to Mrs. Williams our principal, we are now coming to you. Come to the program, you might just learn something new. Everyday is an opportunity to learn something new.
