Are you a current BMS PTSA Member and are you interested in serving in the Nominating Committee? If so, please join us during the General PTSA Meeting on Thurs., Feb. 12th at 6:30p. We will need 5 to 7 parent volunteers (5 primaries, 2 alternates) to serve in this committee and the committee must meet more than once to discuss incoming officer selections. Guidelines and Procedures for Nominating Committee Officers will be given at a later time.

Student Talent Show (2/16/09) - This is a PTSA sponsored event and help is needed during rehearsals and especially during the event. For details please contact Sharmell Luke.

A VERY SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS goes to Barber’s Academic Bowl Team! On Saturday, Jan. 10th, they competed in the Regional Tournament at Freedom Middle School. They competed against teams from across North Georgia like Fannin County MS, Freedom MS, Jasper MS, Lost Mountain MS, Lumpkin Couunty MS and Woodstock MS. The team ended the first round 5-1 only taking second place due to losing to Freedom Middle School. They then competed against E.T. Booth, but came out second. However, they came home winners with a runner-up trophy. Please congratulate the following students: Wahenoor Anand, Kevin Bharadwaj, Marybeth Coley, Emma Collins, Peggy Fregene, Cain Henderson, Karima Kallon, and Suneet Mishra. Mrs. Washington wants to say thank you!
